Breast Lift with Implants Surgery

Breast Augmentation with Lift Before and After Photos

In patients with only minimal sagging, a modified procedure may be used to excise only skin from the areola and the area immediately surrounding it.  When breast augmentation is performed in conjunction with the lift, the surgeon places a breast implant in a pocket created either directly under the breast tissue or underneath the chest wall muscle. Dr. Williams will counsel you on his recommendations as to which size implant is the safest and best for you.  The final decision in the selection of size must be left to the surgeon.

Of note, breast prostheses have been used for over twenty-five years and there is presently no evidence that this procedure or the implant has any bearing on the future development of breast cancer.

In most cases of mastopexy, with or without implants, patients are able to nurse in the event of pregnancy.  This operation will be done under either general anesthesia or local with sedation (“twilight sleep”) and takes approximately two and one half hours.
